New and Improved User Profiles

Over the last few weeks our hard working developer team have been re-imagining how we display user profiles. The redesign began with a simple idea:

You need to be able to find the information you want quickly, and in a sensible way.

Room for improvement

This led to a few obvious problems that we could solve:

  • We shouldn't display all information on one page. Having to endlessly scroll through similar looking profiles makes it difficult to find what you need.
  • We should display crucial, ‘bigger picture’ information about each user in a simpler way. For instance, you should be able to see, at a quick glance, how many Jobs a tutor has open, and how many hours they have worked.
  • We should have actions buttons displayed in a more intuitive way. This will stop users from having to scroll back to the top of the page, if they want to update any information.
  • Lastly, SPEED! We should make sure our software is running as smoothly as possible. This would mean rewriting all the code within these sections of TutorCruncher, some of which had been with us since 2015!

The most important part of updating user profiles was splitting them into categories. This allows you to switch between different sections of the profile by going to separate tabs.

'Bigger picture' detail

We’re now displaying new information on users’ pages, so that you have a better idea of how each client and tutor interacts with your company. New figures are clearly displayed so that you don’t have to sift through all the numbers yourself.

Easy to find action buttons

Editing and updating information should be intuitive. Say goodbye to the madness of scrolling up and down pages just to perform a simple action. For example, you can now double check whether you asked for a review from a client and send out a review request immediately if needed.

Now that editing any information is just a click away, you will never forget to update a user’s profile again.

Last but by no means least, faster loading speeds!

Aside from all the exciting visual changes, this new update is optimised to speed up the TutorCruncher system. So regardless of how fast your internet connection is or what device you are using you can now view, edit and update information faster.
